.You've got to be kidding.
I am so ready for this weekend, more so than others. Why you ask? My Monday morning started off with a phone call from Cheyenne saying that he had been in a small accident on his way to work. The {very very} good thing is that none of the people involved were in any way hurt. Having been in a very horrible accident when I was 19 this was my very first concern but I was quickly assured that all parties were just fine. The whole thing happened at the height of morning rush hour in the thick of the suburbs while going 10 mph so it could hardly be described as a "bad accident". In short Cheyenne was cut off by a car {we'll call car#1} who crossed a solid white line. This happened right as both Cheyenne & Car#1 were going to turn left. As Car#1 entered the intersection another car {we'll call Car#2} on the other side of the intersection tried to turn right on his red. Car#1 was forced to slam on his breaks in order not the t-bone Car#2, since Car#1 had cut Cheyenne off there wasn't any leeway room and chey hit Car#1. Ugh. Our car has by far the most damage {about $2,500 worth}. Double ugh. Luckily we have fantastic insurance so all we have to pay is our deductible {which is reasonable} and even that may be reimbursed after the investigation. Also in our favor is that all 3 insurance companies involved have told us that they don't see Cheyenne as being at fault since the other two cars involved were breaking the rules of the road and created an "unsafe driving environment". Our beloved car, Penny, is in the shop basically getting an entirely new front half. Meanstwhile we have a rental that Cheyenne loathes {an automatic Nissan Versa} and we wont be getting Penny back until the end of next week at the very earliest. Needless to say it's been a long stressful week and I'm so happy it's at an end. Let the weekend begin!
