.A Southerner at heart?.

It started two weeks ago, Amelia has inexplicably developed a Southern accent. We don't know how or why but Homegirl can now be heard saying the following:

Hay-at = hat
Hay-yer = hair
Bay-ack = back
Gonna go down stay-ers = Going downstairs

There are others but these are the ones I've heard in the last ten minutes and therefore the freshest in my memory...however, she now has a general Southern accent. Bless her heart.

.Photo dump.

I was cleaning off my camera and ended up with these few photos of our Hazelnut being a little ham.

.Month 2.

Alice turned two months old last week. I'm a tad late putting up her monthly stats since I took last week off from blogging to visit with my Granny. Better late than never though!

Height: 22 inches {35 percentile}
Weight: 8 pounds 5 ounces {4th percentile}
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: A mix of dark and light brown

Notes: Alice is looking and acting more like a person every day and her little personality is coming through - she's a super cuddly and happy little girl that makes all of us laugh.
She made her first *real* {as in not gas} smile to her "auntie" Meegan in the last week of September and hasn't stopped since.

The best time of year.

It's my very very favorite time of year {Autumn & early Winter} and to me Halloween {just a few days away} kicks off the holiday season {the time of year when I spaz out with festiveness}. I'm already getting ready and have the girls Christmas shopping done {I usually do that in August and September so that I don't have to deal with holiday shoppers} and their Christmas dresses ready for photos and visiting Santa. Check it....

.Pumpkin Patch 2012.

This year's trip to the pumpkin patch took place over the weekend and we had a ton of fun. Unlike years past we forgo Sauvie's Island Pumpkin Patch for Bi-Zi Farms up in Washington which is a longer drive but worth it since Amelia had a fantastic time despite a cold and short nap.
We had a big group of friends {continuing the tradition of going with The God-Parents, David & Abigail} as well as my Granny which made it both festive and totally chaotic {what better way to start off the holiday season?}.
Amelia got to ride on her first pony and had her first hot cocoa {she now wants nothing more in life than to ride on ponies and drink cocoa}. She also got to pet and feed farm animals, play in a pit of corn {best thing ever} and most important she picked her very own pumpkin.
Pumpkin patch success!

.Feeding goats with Granny.

.This is Amelia & Kylie. Their grandmas {Sherri & Cinda} were childhood friends, their mothers {Nichole & Nicole} were  childhood friends, and now it would seem so are they. I love this.

.We thought she might be scared up on the pony all by herself....we we wring. VERY wrong.

.When I was in kindergarten we went on a field trip to another students farm and we got to play in a grain bin full of corn kernels, it was so great that 25 years later I still think about it at least once a week. Amelia seems to have the same love of "Scrouge McDuck-ing" in corn.

.Hot cocoa? Check. Servant Grandmother? Check. Let's go get a pumpkin!

.It wouldn't be a trip to the pumpkin Patch in the Pacific Northwest without some gnarly clouds overhead.
