Amelia had her semiannual dental appointment on Tuesday morning and it was disastrous. She normally loves her dentist and it's always smooth sailing. However, I had totally forgotten that she had very recently gone in for her annual pediatrician appointment and had a few shots.
As soon as Dr. Pike turned on his flashlight to look in her mouth, Amelia lost her dang mind totally certain that the dentist and his "tool of death" were out for blood. We were able to get her to calm down by having Dr. Pike leave and allow an extremely kind assistant sneak a peak. We now have to go back in a few months for a legitimate exam, I'm hoping by then she'll have calmed down a bit.
